2008 Felt F75

2008 Felt F75

2008 Felt F75

The sub $1400 entry level road bike has been the single hottest category in our store for 16 years. For 2008 a stand out offering in that important category is the new 2008 Felt F75. With a $1349 MSRP (our price will vary, contact us at (313) 278-1350 for details) the F75 has a high end component kit, a nicely made frame and a dependable wheelset.

The interesting part of the F75 is the geometry chart. You already know that most road bikes do not work well with aerobars because their seat tube angle is too slack. The seat tube angle on a 52cm frame size F75 is an aerobar friendly 75.5 degrees making the use of aerobar viable on this road frame if your torso is the right length. Our bike fitters can give you the details.

The steep seat tube angle in some of the F75 frame sizes means this bike has a high degree of versatility. It is the one bike you can own for club rides, charity tours, entry level citizen races and even your first sprint triathlon. While triathletes should own a triathlon bike, if your main focus isn’t triathlons then the F75 may have everything you need to do all the road riding you aspire to.

The parts spec on the F75 includes a genuine Shimano compact crank for dependable shifting and easy gearing in all conditions. The drivetrain is a Shimano Ultegra/105 mix turning a pair of Shimano R500 wheels.

Along with the versatile frame geometry the 2008 Felt F75 also has a beautifully made frame with a full carbon fiber, molded wishbone seatstay, carbon fiber fork, carbon fiber seatpost and custom butted, super light 7005 aluminum main frame. At only 18 pounds for a complete bike the Felt F75 is a category leader.
