2008 Felt B12

2008 Felt B12

2008 Felt B12

The $2500 price point for an all carbon fiber, molded, aerodynamic triathlon frameset with a high end component group is the most frequent bike purchase in our store. This is could be the first, but likely will be the last triathlon bike you’ll ever need to buy. At $2599 for the Felt B12 (our price varies, call us at 313 278 1350 for details) the new B12 is a leader in this popular category.

The B12 comes from the same mold as the Felt DA and B2 frames. These framesets were developed by Felt to improve durability, aerodynamics and ride comfort over any previous carbon fiber designs. Using a full rear wheel cut out in addition to the unique hidden rear brake assembly aerodynamics on the B12 frame is fully optimized. The High Modulus carbon fiber frameset features the best internal cable routing in the bike industry with fully guided internal, hosed cables to both derailleurs and brakes.

The component spec on the B12 includes Dura-Ace bar end shifters paired with new, upgraded 2008 Shimano Ultegra SL front and rear derailleurs. Felt’s own TTR3 40 mm deep is a nice wheel spec for every day training and aerodynamic enough for race day also!

Another unique feature of the Felt B12 at the $2500 give-or-take price point is the carbon fiber steer tube used on Felt’s 3.1 bladed, aerodynamic High Modulus carbon fiber fork. Most other bikes in this price point use a metal fork steer tube.

Unlike other manufacturers who only use their most aerodynamic frame shapes on their most expensive bikes, Felt uses the same frame shape exactly on the B12 from their flagship $9000 DA . This combined with the excellent component spec makes the B12 an impressive value in an all carbon fiber, molded aerodynamic triathlon bike.
