2008 Cervelo P3C

2008 Cervelo P3C

2008 Cervelo P3C

The fastest Tour de France time trial in history. More Ironman victories than any other single bike. A stock time trial frame ridden by a top European pro team, Team CSC with riders like David Zabriskie and Frank Schleck. The highest number of bikes at the Ford Ironman World Championship. The numbers and statistics don’t lie. The P3C is an incredibly fast bike on any terrain at any distance. If you want the no-compromise defacto “best” carbon fiber, aerodynamic triathlon bike according to the statistics, the P3C is it.

This is a low front end, steep angled no compromise race bike for the guy or girl ready to smash PR’s and eliminate equipment excuses. The new 2008 P3C is based on years of development from the only bike company with more engineers than salesmen: Cervelo. The P3C is, as of this writing, the only stock Tour de France time trial bike available to the consumer. You ride what the fastest cyclists in the world ride.
Cervelo has developed a new geometry seatpost to make their excellent fit band even wider enabling a better transition from bike to run. Your P3C can come with Cervelo’s excellent parts spec that includes anatomically correct ski bend aerobars and Shimano Dura-Ace with an FSA K-Force crank or as a frameset speced with any component kit you like including SRAM Red, Rival or Force or any of the Campagnolo component kits.

The P3C comes out of the box with nice quality Shimano R550 wheels for everyday training. If you’re buying a P3C consider a set of aerodynamic race wheels to optimize your P3C’s frame aerodynamics on race day.

The P3C is a difficult bike to comment on because it has so few weaknesses and is so widely recognized as the “best”. Of our staff that actively competed in triathlons in the 2007 model year, three of them did so riding Cervelo P3C’s. Perhaps even more impressively; those three are back on new 2008 P3C’s this year. The MSRP as published by Cervelo (the only price we’re authorized by Cervelo to print) is $4500. Our price varies; call us at (313) 278-1350 for details
