Litespeed Saber |
|
The Litespeed Saber is the longest running titanium triathlon bike available. It has been through a substantial evolutionary phase starting with its original version, the Tachyon, over six years ago. Litespeed has made consistent improvements to the Saber and it is now an incredible bike with the highest level of durability from almost any triathlon bike avalable due to its Ancotech 3/2.5 Vanadium/Titanium construction. The newly shaped, cold worked tubes are the strongest, most resilient titanium tubing in the bicycle industry. No one else comes close. Litespeed has been doing this the longest, and they do it the best. While other manufacturers are building bikes of simple, inexpensive round or seamed "tubes" only Litespeed uses this type of drawn, cold worked, multi-shaped titanium tubing. Litespeed was a titanium fabrication company before they a bike comapny and this level of familiarity with titanium as a frame material is unmatched anywhere in the bike industry. For 2004 the Saber has a new set of bladed, aerodynamic carbon fiber seat stays. The geometry of the Saber is best suited for persons with a longer torso as the top tubes lengths, compared to the seat tube length, runs long. The integrated headset, extended head tube facilitate a high handlebar position. While no two bikes
we sell are identical since they are built for individual customers like
you, the Litespeed Saber usually starts for around $1899.99 for frame
with Litespeed Carbon Fork, $3189.99 with an Ultegra kit and $3889.99
with a Shimano Dura-Ace 10 speed kit. Prices vary since every bike we
build tends to be different, so please use these as a guide only. |
