Simply put, the Addict Limited is a “project bike”
realized: Everything is optimized for ultimate light weight.
As a result the bike is so light it is actually illegal for
UCI competitive use. Thankfully, you and I don’t have
to worry about UCI rules. WE can have a bike so light and
efficient it is actually “illegal”. If efficient
climbing, ultimate acceleration and show stopping feather
weight are your goals the Scott Addict is a strong choice
as one of the very lightest production bikes in cycling history.
SRAM Red components with ceramic bearings
tickle the scale while Mavic’s lightest aero wheelset
weigh about the same as glass slippers but offer the performance
and durability of work boots. Make no mistake- this is not
a bike that compromises functionality for light weight. You
can really ride this bike- and when you do, everything else
will seem oh so heavy.
