2010 Scott CR1 Comp.

Scott CR1 Team
Scott CR1 Comp.

So, if you wanted Carbon, the price had to start with a “2”, right? That was then, this is Scott. The Scott CR1 Comp is a fully Shimano equipped carbon fiber road bike for $1699. There are very few compromises here: Scott has down-speced the shifters and front derailleur to Tiagra. They did keep the Shimano crank and chainrings though, and those things more than anything else contribute to good front shifting performance- so this bike is still very solid despite its low price. The ubiquitous Shimano R500 wheel turns under the carbon frame rolling on a pair of nice Continental Ultra Race (foldable- lighter weight) tires.

This may be more bike at $1699 than has ever been available from any manufacturer.

MSRP: $1,699.99
